Dr. Tina Story
By Firozbhai Tharadiya Pediatric NeurologistHello Friends,
Let me introduce myself. I am Dr. Tina Narayan, MD, a pediatric neurologist with a special interest in ADHD, neurodivergent kids, and behavioral and learning challenges.
My journey began with my younger brother developed a severe chronic illness during childhood. Watching his struggles firsthand inspired me to dedicate my life to improving the health, happiness, and success of as many families as I could. As I completed my pediatric residency, I realized that the brain was the next frontier in medicine. I specialized in pediatric neurology just as ADHD was becoming a recognized condition.
For over 40 years, I have worked with children and families navigating the challenges of inadequate attention spans, lack of focus, hyperactivity, impulsivity, restlessness, and sleep issues. I have deeply enjoyed this journey, partnering with parents and kids to find success. Over the decades, I’ve witnessed evolving guidance for prescribing stimulants, as well as promising research into simple, safe, and effective supplements.
Through my experience, I have identified three evidence-based, well-researched, and safe supplements that can complement or even substitute for medication when combined with essential behavioral training and learning support at home and school. These supplements—saffron, magnesium, and DHA omega fatty acids—each play a unique role:
-
Saffron promotes attention, improves mood, and protects the brain from stress.
-
Magnesium acts as a warm, soothing blanket to stabilize the brain’s electrical activity.
-
DHA omega fatty acids provide essential nutrients for brain growth and enhanced executive function.
Currently, families must source these supplements separately, which can be difficult and frustrating due to inconsistent quality and availability. That’s why I created a single, safe gummy combining these three ingredients—a product born out of my frustration with the current state of supply and the great need for safe natural solutions.
On a personal note, I’ve been married for over 40 years and am blessed with three children and five grandchildren. I’ve also experienced the challenges of ADHD and neurodiversity in my own family, both with my children and grandchildren. This personal connection fuels my sense of urgency to make a difference for as many families as possible.
My brother’s illness set me on this path, but it’s the resilience and courage of the families I’ve worked with that inspire me every day to keep innovating and advocating for safer, better, and simpler solutions for every child.
With warmth and hope,
Dr. Tina Narayan
